Tour Overview

Day 1

Airport – Negombo

You will be warmly welcomed on arrival at Bandaranayake International airport by our representative who will be your chauffer guide cum driver for the entire tour. You will be transfered to a hotel in Negombo depending on the flight arrival times to enable you to relax after a long flight .

Negombo : It is a touristic beach resort located close proximity to the airport, where the hotels and beach resorts are widely considered as a transit point.

Day 2

Negombo - Muthurajawela - Pinnawela - kandy

After early breakfast at hotel- leave for Muthurajawela- you will do a boat ride at Muthurajawela marsh.

The Muthurajawela Marsh : It is one of the islands largest saline wet lands which borders the Negombo Lagoon to the south and Kelani river to the north.

Check out at 12.00 Noon. Leave for Pinnawela- visit elephant orphanage to be on time for the baby elephant bathing and feeding times.

The Pinnawela elephant  orphanage : It was set up by the National Zoological Gardens to feed, nurse & house baby elephants abandoned by their parents, or  stranded in the jungles or fallen in ravines.

Proceed to Kandy, visit Tooth temple

Kandy : It is the second largest city in Sri Lanka after Colombo.  It was the last capital in the Central province of Kandy ruled by several kings and the last of which was King Sri Wickrema Rajasinghe.

Day 03

Kandy - Kitulgala - Hatton - Delhousie

Leave early for  Kitulgala at around 6.00 am to reach Kitulgala at around 8.00 am-  take a breathtaking & thrilling ride along the rapids –doing white water rafting

Kitulgala : It is the islands only site for white water rafting. This is will  give the visitor an unforgettable experience and  an  ideal activity for the all adventure lovers and for a family group.

Afternoon- you will proceed to HATTON –Delhousie located at the foot of Adams peak . Have a sleep or rest at the hotel  since you will have leave at around 1.00 am  for the climb to Adams peak. You will be accompanied by a local guide. You will reach the summit just before sunrise which is a spectacular sight worth watching. Please do not fail to carry your raincoats and warm clothes since it will be very chilly out there and possibilty of rain.

The Adam’s Peak : (also known as  Sri Pada in Sinhalese) is a 2,243 m (7,359 ft) tall conical shaped Mointain located in central hills of Sri lanka. It is well known for the “sacred footprint”,  near the summit, which the Buddhist believe it is  the Foot print o the Buddha  the Hindus believe it is  that of Shiva and the Muslims & Christians believe it is  that of Adam or that of St. Thomas.

Day 04

Delhousie - Hatton - NuwaraEliya

After a short rest- you will start your descend and arrive at the hotel for breakfast- check out at 12.00 Noon. Thereafter proceed  to NuwaraEliya.  You are free to get  some sleep and rest after the hectic climb. Evening  you are free to do a city tour of NuwaraEliya town, the Gregory’s lake, city centre, Bazaar.

NuwaraEliya : “The center of the hill country was also called the “Hill station”. This picturesque location which is approx 6200 feet above sea level with it’s soft English spring climate which is more like in England and even today it is known as Little England.

Day 05

NuwaraEliya - Horton Pains - Ella

Leave early before sunrise for an excursion to Horton Plains/World’s End/ Bakers Falls- Pm proceed to Ella for overnight stay. Enroute Visit Ravana Ella falls if time permits.

Day 06

Tissamaharma - Yala - Mirissa

After early breakfast- leave for Tissamaharama- Afternoon- half day  4wd Jeep safari at Yala National park.

Yala National Park : It is the most visited and the most popular and the second largest National Park in  Sri Lanka. It consists of five blocks, two of which are open to the public, the Ruhuna National Park  and Kumana National Park towards the East block. It is located in the South/east region of  Sri Lanka about 300 Km from Colombo.

Pm proceed to Mirissa for overnight stay.

Day 07

Mirissa - Galle

Leave early  at around 7.00 am for the Mirissa harbour- take a breathtaking  &  exciting whale watching  boat tour.

Mirissa : Some of the major attractions in Mirissa are the golden beaches and the gigantic whales. Frequent sightings of the Sperm and the Blue whale during most parts of the year  have put Sri Lanka on the world map as the worlds ‘Top Hot Spots’  for whale sightings.

Pm proceed to Galle- Visit Galle Dutch Fort.

Galle Dutch Fort : Declared a living  world heritage site by UNESCO. The Portuguese came to Galle in 1505, followed by the Dutch in 1640.

Day 08

Galle - Deniyaya - Singharaja

After early breakfast- leave for Deniyaya. Trek to Singharaja rain forest- Return to Galle for overnight stay.

The Sinharaja Rain Forest : It is one of the most famous of  a biodiversity hotspot in Sri Lanka. It has been designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Day 09

Galle - Hikkaduwa

At leisure on the beach- spend some time snorkeling. If you are a diver you could do some diving in Hikkaduwa (Kindly note charges for Diving and snorkeling are not included in the costings- payment direct with service providers ).

Hikkaduwa :It is a small bustling town located on the southern coast of Sri Lanka, about 17 km north-west of Galle. Hikkaduwa is famous for the coral gardens and an ideal hot spot for Snorkelling, board surfing and Scuba diving, make it a popular tourist destination.

Day 10

Hikkaduwa - Bentota

Bentota - Colombo

After breakfast leave for Colombo- some time for shopping or city tour

Colombo : It is the capital of  Sri Lanka’s, located on the island’s west coast. It  is about the  biggest city, with  a jarring mix of old and new, with high-rise, buildings, office blocks and a host of tourist city hotels.

Day 12

Colombo – Airport

It will be time to bid good bye after enjoying a most memorable holiday experience and you will  more or less part as friends  with a strong desire to return once again to this paradise island to explore areas not visited. You will be transfered to the airport to catch fight leaving at the scheduled time of departure. (You are expected to be at the airport 3 hrs before flight.) B- Breakfast, L- Lunch, D- Dinner

Restrictions

  • All clients over the age of 55 yrs are expected to be physically fit to do this tour which involves climbing Adams peak mountain, white water rafting etc which are somewhat hectic.
  • Children below 05 yrs are not encouraged unless under direct request from the parents.

  • Any unutilised accomodation or services will not be refunded.
  • If any changes to hotels after confirmation of booking will be entirely at your own expense.

Booking and Payment Procedure

  • Upon acceptance of our quote, we will check room availability and make tentative reservations effective for 48 hours depending on the hotel policy since some hotels do not accept tentative reservations.
  • In the event you accept our tentative reservation and quote, a non- refundable deposit of 30% of the full value is required in advance on confirmation to secure the booking and re-confirm all arrangements.
  • The balance 70% is payable 30 days prior to arrival in Sri Lanka via direct bank wire transfer.
  • If your booking is made within 30 days of commencement of tour, 100% of total value is payable on confirmation of the booking.
  • We will make our best endeavors to reserve the hotels and related services as mentioned in our quote. If requested hotels are unavailable, we will provide hotels of similar category mentioned in the quote.
  • In the event of hotel of similar category mentioned in the quote is not available and only a lower category of hotel is available, this will be informed to you accordingly and the benefit (if any), will be passed on to you.
  • In the event of hotel of similar category mentioned in the quote is not available and only a higher category/ more expensive hotel is only available, you will be informed accordingly and supplement (if any) will be charged to you.
  • Please note the tour will be re-confirmed and all hotel bookings secured (official vouchers to respective hotels released) only upon credit of funds to our bank account.
